GTE provides clients with an initial estimate of annual carbon reductions achievable and a Preliminary Assessment of the recommended Certification Standard for project qualification and cost benefits of application and envisaged time chart.
Service includes: in the instance of a project that is at an advanced construction stage; an assessment and recommendation of the individual project merit and suitability for retroactive application for carbon certification.
In instance of a large Hydro Electric Power Plant and Dam GTE will arrange for the provision of supportive independent reports such as WCD inspection reports as are normally required under the process of carbon certification.
6) New Methodology/s Development:
GTE approach to each project is tailored to each clients need in order to obtain the optimum carbon certification benefit. In certain instance GTE may recommend and design new procedural carbon certification methodology for approval under the appropriate International “Clean Development Mechanism Standard” in order to qualify a project for carbon emission reduction.
7) Designated National Authority Obtaining Letter of Approval:
GTE will assist project owners obtain required project approval from the Designated National Authority – the government ministry where the project is based. Procedures for obtaining DNA approval vary according to country of project location.
8) Project Design:
For carbon emission certification – this entails preparation by GTE and subsequent validation of a formal Project Design Document which gives an in depth and highly objective project analysis covering:
i. Project description
ii. Participants
iii. Project location and mapping detail
iv. Estimated emission reductions from project during crediting period
v. Analyses of funding source
vi. Monitoring methodology and baseline calculations and development rationale
vii. Justification for the choice of project
viii. Project boundary definition and description
ix. Analyses of how greenhouse gases are reduced as a consequence of the project activity
x. Assessment of “additionality”. Purpose is to substantiate project is additional to ‘business as normal’ and that without the benefit of carbon income the project would likely not take place due to either technological and or financial barrier.
xi. In depth analyses and engineering calculations of emission reductions achieved as a result of the project happening
xii. Monitoring methodology and description of monitoring plan to be carried out by project management.
xiii. Project duration assessment
xiv. Environmental impact of project
xv. Synopsis of local stakeholders’ comments on merit and or concerns regarding proposed project and how any such concern has or will be met by project owner
xvi. Contact information; summary and supportive appendices.

GTE will arrange for the required registered appointment.
13) International Registration of the project:
GTE team will make all arrangement for client projects to be listed and registered on a suitable and internationally acceptable Registry of carbon emission reduction certificates thus enabling the annual trade monetization of carbon certificates generated by individual projects.
14) Validation of Project:
GTE team will recommend the appointment of an Designated Operational Entity “DOE” and subsequently manage working closely with the client and DOE and Carbon Registry all aspects of the certification validation process.
